Today, I interviewed the spokesman of the Bloodstained Men, Harry Guiremand--a gentle, calm, loving man--who is incredibly educated and on mission. The Bloodstained Men are an Intactivist group who travel around the country throughout the year to bring awareness to the issue of Infant Male Genital Mutilation to warn the American people that circumcision is cruel, worthless, and destructive.

To provide parents with information and resources to help protect their children from those who would cut their genitals and to give a voice to the victims of genital mutilation who have thus far remained silent.

Six months ago I released an eight video series on the topic of the Male Genital Mutilation that we all familiarly call Circumcision. As proud as I am of creating such content and having had the ability to go through as much data, research, videos, and photos as I did, deeply, I have felt like I went about it completely wrong.

Trauma, fear, shame, cultural expectations and entitlements, and embodied oppressions all contribute to disempowering our voices rather than empower our very essence. These negative projections have impacted our relationship with our sexuality, femininity, and overall well-being deeper than we realize and have contributed to the degradation of society.
