Jenna Interviews the Bloodstained Men

I am in tears as I write this and am overwhelmed by the incredible, loving, conscious souls I have the privilege of meeting and talking to daily. Being an Intactivist has been a very lonely journey.

I have quietly suffered heartache and Soul wrenching pain going through the research, stories, and data over the past 14 months. I am the woman I am today because of this.

Today, I interviewed the spokesman of the Bloodstained Men, Harry Guiremand--a gentle, calm, loving man--who is incredibly educated and on mission.

The Bloodstained Men are an Intactivist group who travel around the country throughout the year to bring awareness to the issue of Infant Male Genital Mutilation to warn the American people that circumcision is cruel, worthless, and destructive. To provide parents with information and resources to help protect their children from those who would cut their genitals and to give a voice to the victims of genital mutilation who have thus far remained silent.

If you haven't seen them, they are easy to spot! Literally and figuratively! Their protests include white suits with bloodstains on their pants to evoke double takes and a level of shock that consciously attracts curiosity and conversation.
